General Statement of Duties
Assists the Finance Division Director and Budget Supervisor over the Finance Department's Office of Management and Budget in the work, and administration of the OMB and its staff; does related work as required.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of budget preparation and control

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County officials, agency heads and their representatives
- Ability to plan and carry out in-depth studies and reviews and to implement changes as a result of these findings

A criminal history record check and fingerprinting is conducted on all persons conditionally offered employment, including a conditional offer of initial employment, or a conditional offer to promote, demote, or laterally transfer an employee.
This position may be filled at the Budget Analyst I, II, III or Senior level depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate and the needs of the Department at the time of hire. The starting salary for a Budget Analyst I is HP.28 ($68,759), a Budget Analyst II at HP.30 ($75,519), a Budget Analyst III is HP.32 ($82,943), and Senior Budget Analyst at HP.34 ($91,097).
Minimum Requirements
Four (4) year degree in accounting, finance, public administration or other relevant field of study preferred, and six (6) years of relevant work experience is preferred; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
