General Statement of Duties

Under the guidance of the classroom teacher, the Instructional Assistant provides essential support with the implementation of the instructional program. 

Essential Duties
  • Provides one on one instruction or tutoring with students 
  • Provides behavioral support to students
  • Assists with classroom management and behavior modification
  • Assists with field trips, community-based instruction, and other activities
  • Assists students with personal care tasks,
  • Assists with creation, organization, and distribution of instructional materials 
  • Reports student concerns directly and promptly to the teacher and assists with student resolution
  • Assists with breakfast, lunch and snack, including clean-up
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Regular attendance is required


Additional Information

This position is a temporary position working no more than 29 hours per week.   

$19.36 per hour

Minimum Requirements

Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent.  Sixty semester hours of college credit or passing scores on the ParaPro Assessment preferred.
