General Statement of Duties
Performs casework duties in the outreach program of Juvenile Detention; does related work as required.
Good knowledge of behavioral science principles relating to child welfare and group work; good knowledge of counseling and social work principles and practices, with particular reference to the problems of socially and emotionally maladjusted children; skill in counseling; ability to make and implement case decisions; ability to understand and interpret regulations and laws; ability to plan and organize work effectively; good oral and written communications skills; good record-keeping and case-documentation skills; skill in case management.

Minimum Requirements
Four (4) year degree in behavioral science, social work, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in court services, detention, social work, or a related area working with children or teenagers; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
