General Statement of Duties
Provides support for scheduling and administration of remediation or intervention to individuals and groups. Oversight of Child Find, Eligibility, and specialized learning programming. Assists in scheduling and planning for students requiring academic support. Provides appropriate resources and materials to students and teachers. Assists teachers to become aware of effective instructional materials and methods.
· Functions as a member of the school’s leadership team, assisting the principal in providing instructional leadership and operational management for the school
· Plans, leads, and monitors intervention programs and student support services, addressing the range and scope of students’ needs and supporting students’ academic achievement and personal development
· Oversees programming of and serves as a resource for the school’s positive behavior / positive school climate efforts, including identification, implementation, and monitoring of tiered behavioral supports.
· Plans, leads, and monitors the work of IEP teams to maintain compliance with scheduling, planning, meeting, monitoring, and reporting on services for students with specialized learning plans
· Analyzes and interprets assessment data and participates in the development and implementation of the school’s continuous improvement plan
· Plans and provides meaningful professional learning opportunities for staff
· Monitors and organizes attendance functions and provides leadership for attendance improvement efforts
· Serves as a liaison for afterschool and other extended learning experiences; coordinates school events, supervises student activities
· Support and provide critical feedback related to the performance of designated staff; assists with staff recruiting, interviewing, and selection
· Works with the principal to ensure the safety of all students, including oversight of the Safety / Crisis Plan, the development and implementation of safety protocols, plans and drills, and serves as the Safety Committee Chair
Position is a 220-day position.
The starting annual salary is: $65,818 Masters, $68,977 Doctoral

Minimum Requirements
Current Virginia Teaching License with elementary endorsement
Master's Degree with emphasis in Administration and Supervision/Educational Leadership preferred
A minimum of five years successful classroom teaching experience
Extensive knowledge of content areas and in educational methodology
Considerable knowledge of and ability to apply current best practices in teaching and learning
Demonstrated ability to lead school-wide projects, programs, and / or initiatives
Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and evaluate student progress related to tiered and specialized instruction
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to establish and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders
