General Statement of Duties
Provides screening, counseling, case management, training or other specific treatment or rehabilitation activities as directed for Henrico's Housing Choice Voucher Program; does related work as required.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations and reporting for program; supports includes but not limited to; determination of program eligibility both diagnostic and financial; transportation/support to rental units; assistance with applications; inspection of all units; coordinate financial subsidy with business; purchase and/or acquisition of furniture and household items; assistance with setting up rental unit; routine check in to assure proper housekeeping; reminders for bill paying and monitoring of health and safety.
- Knowledge of principles, practices and methods of treatment and/or rehabilitation of individuals with a developmental disability; some knowledge of mental health and/or developmental disabilities and related problems; good interpersonal skills which include the ability to empathize, demonstrate respect, communicate, reflect feelings and confront constructively; ability to relate freely to and work effectively with clients and professionals from all levels of the community; adherence to basic ethics appropriate for any helping relationship; ability to write concisely and coherently; demonstrated ability to use good judgment.
Experience with Section 8 Housing programs a plus.
Valid Virginia driver's license required. TB Screening and Child Protective Services Record Check required, upon hire. A criminal history record check and fingerprinting is conducted on all persons conditionally offered employment, including a conditional offer of initial employment, or a conditional offer to promote, demote, or laterally transfer an employee.
Expected salary low-mid end of the listed salary scale.

Minimum Requirements
Four (4) year degree in behavioral science, and relevant work experience preferred; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
