General Statement of Duties
Assigned to the Treasury Division of the Department of Finance; resolves more complex customer service needs to the public and peer employees; assists with training, task delegation, and resolving difficult or unusual questions; offers recommendations and solutions to complex inquiries and issues to management; analyzes data, reports or presents findings; schedules section staff; interprets impacts to policy and procedure changes; and performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to interact with customers patiently, tactfully, and courteously while responding to routine, complex, unusual, and sensitive inquiries through multiple communication channels, including telephone, email, and written correspondence. Ability to communicate ideas clearly, encourage constructive dialogue, and work toward effective resolutions while keeping supervisors appropriately informed.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to communicate financial and technical information clearly and professionally to individuals with varying levels of understanding. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County staff, citizens, and other stakeholders. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team while fostering a positive and respectful work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare, maintain, and manage financial records, transactions, and reports in accordance with County policies and procedures. Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently and prepare clear, accurate financial reports.
- Working knowledge of tax rates, billing and cashiering systems, proration, and the Personal Property Tax Relief Act. Ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex instructions, policies, procedures, and applicable federal regulations.
- Must be proficient in processing complex account adjustments while consistently meeting established productivity and quality standards. Will perform online decisioning functions and process incoming office mail as assigned.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and complete assigned work accurately and within established deadlines. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, particularly during peak billing periods.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to research accounts thoroughly, identify appropriate solutions, and resolve a wide variety of customer inquiries within established policies and procedures. Demonstrated sound judgment in evaluating relevant information and making accurate decisions and recommendations.
- Proficiency with computers and standard business software, including Microsoft Office applications, proprietary software, and financial management systems. High attention to detail in verifying complex financial data and conducting clear, multi-channel communications.
Positions from this posting may be filled at the Treasury Services Officer I, II, III, or IV level depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant and the needs of the organization at the time of hire.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma with relevant coursework completed at the high school level, college level preferred, and eight (8) years of relevant work experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
