General Statement of Duties

The Title II Instructional Coach reports to and serves as an extension of the Coaching Support Specialist, providing job-embedded leadership, mentorship, and implementation support for instructional coaches across the division. This role focuses on strengthening the quality, consistency, and impact of coaching practices in schools by translating the division's instructional coaching model into daily practice.

This position works alongside school staff to build capacity, ensure fidelity to the instructional coaching model, and foster a culture of student-centered coaching that improves teacher effectiveness and student outcomes.


Essential Duties

Coaching Practice & Implementation


  • Model and support the implementation of the division's instructional coaching model in real-time, school-based contexts
  • Provide side-by-side coaching, co-planning, and co-reflection with instructional coaches
  • Support instructional coaches in facilitating high-impact coaching cycles grounded in student evidence
  • Ensure alignment to student-centered coaching practices and the instructional model


Mentorship & Capacity Building


  • Serve as a mentor for novice instructional coaches
  • Support onboarding experiences through ongoing guidance, modeling, and feedback
  • Differentiate support based on instructional coach experience, skill level, and school context
  • Build instructional coach capacity in facilitation, data analysis, and reflective practice


Principal-Coach Partnership Support


  • Partner with school leaders to strengthen principal-coach collaboration
  • Support clarity and implementation of coaching role profiles within schools
  • Facilitate conversations that align instructional coaching work to school and division goals
  • Help maintain the non-evaluative nature of instructional coaching while strengthening instructional alignment


Professional Leaming & Facilitation


  • Co-design and facilitate professional learning for instructional coaches
  • Lead various learning sessions and instructional coaching meetings
  • Support reflection and application of division-wide instructional coaching initiatives
  • Contribute to building a collaborative instructional coaching culture across schools



Data-Informed Coaching Support


  • Support instructional coaches and identified teachers in using data to identify focus areas, monitor progress, and adjust practice
  • Reinforce consistent use of instructional coaching tools, cycles, and documentation aligned to division expectations
  • Collaborate with the Specialist and Director to surface trends, needs, and areas for improvement


Communication & Collaboration


  • Provide ongoing feedback to inform division-level decisions, supports, and systems
  • Collaborate with central office and school teams to ensure coherence


Additional Information

This position holds a 260-day contract with a start date of July 1, 2026.


The minimum annual salary is: $74,222 Bachelors, $77,785 Masters, $81,518 Doctoral.  The salary will be prorated based on actual start date.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid teaching license with a minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience
  • Demonstrated success as an instructional coach or teacher leader; 3 or more years
  • Deep understanding of student-centered coaching and adult learning theory
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to model instructional and coaching practices effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively with school team
