General Statement of Duties
To repair or maintain specific items or areas of the school facility. Areas of work and standards to meet are assigned and supervision is received by checks on the performance of work by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assists in the operation, maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of school property
• Assists in the cleaning, repairing, replacing parts of electrical and wiring devices, heating controls, boilers, plumbing lines and fixtures
• Assists in assigned painting projects
• Assists in repairing, altering or building furniture, glass replacement, carpeting, tile, gutters, roofing and fences
• Attends work daily and is engaged and on task - regular attendance is required
• Self auditing practices in safety awareness and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Performs ground maintenance: mowing, snow-ice removal
• Operates maintenance tools and equipment
• Maintains tools, equipment and supplies in accordance with standards
• Attends work daily and is engaged and on task
• Performs overtime work and other duties as required
This vacancy is open until filled. This is a 12 month, 8 hours per day, 260 day position working at the Adult Education Center. Minimum salary is $38,499.97 ($18.51 hourly) or based on promotion policy for internal candidates. Salary is prorated based on start date.

Minimum Requirements
Graduation from high school or trade school. Some knowledge of general maintenance tools and their use; ability to perform routine maintenance and repair tasks with minimum instruction and supervision.
