General Statement of Duties

This position is for the 2026-27 school year.  This vacancy is open until filled.  Temporary Board Substitute Teacher - Social Studies/World History

Essential Duties
  • Plan instructional activities for students
  • Assess and maintain records of students' progress
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies in order to promote student success
  • Support the curriculum, academic and social needs of children.
  • Regular attendance is required

NOTE: SELECTED CANDIDATE MUST WORK 21-CONSECUTIVE INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS IN THE SAME CLASS TO BE PAID BOARD SUB RATE.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis on Education and VA Teaching license preferred, but Bachelor's Degree is required.
