General Statement of Duties
This individual performs highly responsible and technical bookkeeping work in connection with the financial operation of the Department; assists with the development and modification of accounting procedures and their implementation; does related work as required.
Performs a wide variety of clerical and account keeping tasks;
Conducts business with the public, employees and other departments, answering questions requiring independent, responsible judgement and in-depth knowledge of Facilities policies and procedures;
Processes the department's payroll in the Oracle OTL system;
Verifies timecards, leave slips and overtime authorizations for accuracy;
Communicates with foreman and supervisors to resolve payroll discrepancies;
Prepares OTL adjustments and retro entries for payroll processing;
Certifies Facilities department overtime entries;
Receives, verifies and prepares utility invoices for payment;
Communicates with utility suppliers to resolve billing issues;
Processes requisitions in Oracle financial system for department purchases;
Works with suppliers to resolve issues and setup new suppliers with Oracle;
Order supplies as needed, and ascertaining specifications and vendor;
Prepares and processes personnel forms and documents to include timesheets, overtime sheets, overtime reports and leave reports;
Prepares special reports and summaries as needed;
Uses a computer terminal to input, retrieve, verify and research information;
Attends work daily and be engaged in job responsibilities - regular attendance is required;
Performs related work as assigned.
This vacancy is open until filled and is available for the 26-27SY. This is a 12 month, 8 hours per day, 260 day position. Minimum salary is $51,007.57 ($24.52 hourly) or based on promotion policy for internal candidates. Salary is prorated based on official start date. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Minimum Requirements
A high school graduate or equivalent (business school or some college preferred). Bookkeeping or business coursework or experience. Leadership qualities and communication skills are necessary. Ability to use computers in a broad range of applications such as but not limited to the following: Word Processing, Spreadsheet Data Entry and Design, Database Maintenance, and County specific applications/programs. Should be able to effectively work with all stakeholders.
